Ansouis is located in the south of the Luberon mountains, the town has 1105 inhabitants and it's highest level is situated at 390 m.
The hilltop village built sheltered from the mistral is surmounted by its castle of the twelfth century. The town is part of the most beautiful villages in France and, lining the streets, you can admire the venerable houses dating to the earliest of the fifteenth and seventeenth centuries.

Inside also an altarpiece of the seventeenth century and the relics of Count Elzear de Sabran (1286-1324) and his wife Delphine who lived in the castle. They were canonized in 1369.
